Arlington Fire, AMR, Medical City Launch Whole Blood Program

The Arlington EMS system, composed of the Arlington Fire Department in partnership with AMR Arlington and Medical City Arlington, is proud to announce the launch of a Whole Blood Program this month. This initiative enables first responders to carry and administer whole blood in the field, providing critical care to patients suffering from severe trauma or significant blood loss.

“This program represents another way we continue advancing life-saving care for our community,” said Bret Stidham, Fire Chief of the Arlington Fire Department. “Our partnership with AMR Arlington and Medical City Arlington ensures that when seconds matter most, our patients receive the best care possible.”

The Whole Blood Program represents a major advancement in pre-hospital emergency care, bringing hospital-level resources directly to Arlington residents and improving outcomes for critically injured patients.
